Physicans and surgeons use thermal imagers to see anomalies invisible to the naked eye. Blood flow, among other things, can be gauged with an infrared image. In both medical and veterinary thermography, a patient's thermal signature should be symmetrical. A difference either left-to-right or front-to-back can indicate problems before they become serious.
