Thermalert CS100 Linescanner

Thermalert CS100 A ComprehensiveTemperature Measurement System

For monitoring, control, and analysis of rotating kiln shells used in cement and lime production. The system combines an environmentally- protected infrared line scanner and a powerful, industrial software program. The system allows you to accurately detect and monitor hot spots in refractory bricks in order to prevent costly kiln damage and extend production runs.

Highlights of Thermalert CS100

  • Optimized maintenance program through scheduled shut downs
  • Centralized management control
  • Use of standard computing system with common serial interface
  • Fail safe hot spot alarming
  • Outstanding price/performance ratio
  • Local support and service through a worldwide network

Performance

Easy Installation and Maintenance
Temperature Range: 100 to 650°C (212 to 1202°F)
Temperature Resolution: 1°C (2°F)
Spot Detection: (50%) 300 : 1
Scan Angle: (FOV) 90°
Accuracy: ± 2 % of reading (in the whole operating temperature range)
Operating Temperature: -40 to + 45°C (-40 to 113°F)
Sampling Rate: 1024 pixel pre-processed to 256 transmitted points
Alarms: 8 software alarm sectors, 3 computer independent hardware alarms
Scan Speed: supports up to 5 kiln rotations per minute
The environmental enclosure is mounted on an aiming bracket to adjust the scan line to the kiln axis. The box is equipped with a mounting rail for quick lines canner installation and has an easy-to exchange infrared window. The housing has quick connectors for water cooling and air purging. The system uses standard RS485 cables, allowing communication distances up to 1000 meters (3000 feet). Because CS100 system components are individually calibrated, they can be replaced without field engineer visits for on-site calibration. When two lines canners are used, they may be mounted at different angles so that each has a clear view of the kiln shell. The CS100 software integrates the scan data for both positions and provides a single image to monitor. CS100 software runs on a standard personal computer with common serial interface. The familiar Windows software is easy-to-use, requires little operator training and provides management with multiple levels of password control for greater security.
