The Thermalert MP50 Linescanner

The Thermalert® MP50™ Process Imager

Provides accurate temperature image data of moving objects. This multi-point measurement is achieved by a rotating optical system which collects infrared radiation at 256 points within a 90° field-of-view. The motorized mirror scans at 48 lines per second (without analog output), and the unique internal blackbody system calibrates the sensor on every scan. An internal high speed microprocessor calculates the temperature of the individual measurement points which are then compared to process setpoints for each of three userdefined sectors. The MP50 comes standard with air purging and water cooling, three configurable analog outputs, and two-way digital communications. MP50 Process Imager models are available with a choice of temperature and spectral ranges. The plastics models (P3 and P7) provide temperature measurement on thin plastic film. The glass model (G5) ensures process quality on flat glass, glass windshields, and tempering lines. The 1M model for metals has a 45° field-of-view, allowing the scanner to be safely mounted away from hot targets.
