The Argus®3 series is an advanced, user-friendly, family of robust thermal imaging cameras designed primarily to assist the vision of firefighters on smoke and darkness. These cameras have many further appliations where temperatures require monitoring or it is desired to find hot or cold spots. They also provide vision where light is not available. The Argus®3 Series are standalone, fully automatic cameras within an ergonomically designed case. An infrared remote control feature and PC software are provided, allowing end users to configure the cameras to their specific needs; no other control or adjustment is required.

All Argus®3 accessories complement each camera variant; all features and options are available on all cameras. The customer simply decides which camera core they require and which features they wish to select.

A video signal for connection by cable to a remote monitor is provided. This connection has a 75 ohm impedence and conforms toEIA RS-170 525 line/60 ohm field standard. Connections is via a BNC socket located under the front access panel. A data input/output socket is also provided under the front cover, conforming to RS232 standard. Using the PC software provided, the user can enable or disable the various features, set up the display and download captured images.
